Job Description

CCL Nanyuki is seeking a qualified candidate for an Office Assistant Intern for a 3-month internship with the possibility of full-time employment. Administrative support includes creating and maintaining databases, researching and compiling data, proofreading and editing publications, event planning projects, website updates, and other projects as assigned. Create and maintain databases, including receiving registrations and managing databases for events and groups. Research and compile data: News stories, contact information, and other related records. Creating and responding to articles and social media posts. Process incoming and outgoing correspondence. Answer calls and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff member. As directed, other office-support functions including running errands, website updates and basic accounting. Work on special projects as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  1. This position requires multi-tasking skills and the ability to work independently and under pressure
  2. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are required
  3. Attention to detail is vital
  4. Demonstrated agility to shift direction in response to changing work situations is critical
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel is required
  6. Compensation and Schedule: Internships are unpaid, but meals, transport and accommodation will be provided during special projects/events/assignments
