Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the planning and implementing EcoPlanet’s communication activities in support of our organization's priorities – participating in the process from conception and implementation to measurement and analysis of key insights. Lead external communications for the company, including project specific reporting requirements (monthly, quarterly and annual), newsletters, and annual sustainability and operational/financial performance reports for external project partners. Design and lead the implementation of an annual internal communications plan to keep our global operations up to date and informed on company goals and accomplishments. Support report writing for project proposals, project review documentation and other communication tools required to promote and further EcoPlanet’s operations. Utilize key performance indicators to communicate project contributions to UN Sustainable Development Goals, and effectively communicate on indirect project activities both internally and externally. Oversee in country key environmental celebrations and educational awareness campaigns including World Bamboo Day, environmental days, etc and lead the production of educational materials. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or other relevant field with 5 years’ work experience in the international development, environmental and/or forestry sector. Master’s degree a plus. Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) with evidence of proficiency in writing, proofreading and editing. Demonstrated ability to write effectively for diverse audiences, including stakeholders, employees, media and the general public.
