Job Description
The DREAMS project Data Assistant will support the M&E manager in design, implementation and review of the project’s monitoring and evaluation interventions, collection of primary Data from the field and in putting into the reporting systems, addressing the M&E capacity gaps identified, tracking performance and informing programming.
Responsibilities:
- Provide monitoring and evaluation capacity building to CHV and staff on their roles in M&E in the designated ward.
- Organize and/or participate in M&E related capacity building activities targeting service providers.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly & annual report compilation that enables information usage for program management decision making.
- Systematize data repository systems and ensure safe data storage (hard copy & electronic data) on central project databases on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Conduct data validation processes and work closely with technical teams to identify problematic areas and make appropriate recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Monitor and track progress against targets and baselines ensuring compliance with the requirements of the reporting systems.
- Prepare quantitative data and write narrative reports as required.
- Ensure timely reporting of core, custom indicators and cross cutting indicators periodically as required.
- Support DREAMS case management and beneficiary assessments to track progress towards graduation
- Conduct Data Quality Audits (DQA) and share the findings for Quality Improvement (QI).
- Do data entry into DREAMS database.
- Upload project data into DATIM database
consistently.
- Do data cleaning.
- Support in internal documentation and provide technical support to the field personnel in collation, analysis, interpretation and utilization of the program data.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Sciences/Statistics or related field
- A minimum of two years of experience in data entry or with analytical work. Experience in monitoring and evaluation preferred.
- Working knowledge of and practical experience of CPIMS or DREAMS Database will be an added advantage.
- Fluency in PEPFAR’s OVC and DREAMS M&E and results framework and up-to- date knowledge of PEPFAR indicators
- Good understanding of PEPFAR/MOH/MGLSD reporting requirements, expectations and Tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Maintain appropriate security systems that ensure Network, Systems and Data Security from internal and external security threats.
- Promote on the job coaching processes and specific tailor made training programs.
- Ensure good maintenance of SJCC laptops, printers, etc.
