Job Description
We are looking for a candidate to manage our customer accounts within the Mt Kenya and Coast regions. You will partner with our customer’s in order to deliver value . You will travel to different locations in your territory to promote and sell our products or services to prospective customers on credit and supporting repayment collection.
You will report to the Area Coordinator who will support you to create strategies to improve farmers lives within your area of operation
Responsibilities:
- Sales:
- Exceed sales and repayment targets for your territory, maintain accurate records of all sales activities on our sales apps and follow up with clients.
- Collaborate with team members to develop sales strategies and maintain an understanding of our products or services
- Market research: Identify potential customers by conducting market research and analyzing sales data, develop knowledge of market trends, and competition
- Customer service: Develop relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service, making calls to prospective clients to set up appointments and make sales presentations
- Repayments: Conduct periodic visits to your farmers to collect repayment, deliver trainings, deliver materials or support their other needs within Tupande processes and travel to client locations to demonstrate products or services and close sales
- Training: Train farmers and facilitators on modern planting techniques
Requirements:
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in sales
- Willingness to work in rural communities with small scale farmers including frequent travel to clients
- Follow simple checklists and work plans
- Speak local language and familiarity with the local Geography
- Proficiency in Google Office Suite, Tablets and Sales software
