Job Description
ACRE Africa, the brand name of Agriculture and Climate Risk Enterprise Ltd. (ACRE), links farmers to insurance products so that they can confidently invest in their farms. Since inception, over 1 Million farmers in Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda were insured from a variety of weather related risks & livestock diseases through products we designed.
Responsibilities:
- Requirements elicitation, system specifications analysis and translate system requirements to task specifications.
- Track the software development task to closure.
- Internal and external client engagements
- Develop effective documentation, manuals, strategies, and test plans.
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
- Evaluate product code according to specifications.
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
- Report bugs and errors to development teams
- Provide technical support and customer service that include coding and rework.
- Product deployment and user training Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related Technical, Agriculture field.
- 2+ years of experience in digital product development or management.
- Strong understanding of back-end and front-end development.
- Experience with mobile app development (iOS/Android), USSD, and web applications such as C#, php.
- Experience with agile methodologies, quality assurance, and testing methodologies.
- Strong analytic curiosity and innovative problem-solving skills using design thinking.
- Authority to work in Kenya.
