Job Description

  • You ensures swap stock availability by conducting technical repair and testing of M-KOPA faulty products returned to the warehouse, including solar-powered Televisions, solar control units, smartphones, and other assorted accessories.
  • You will report to the Repairs Team Lead.

Responsibilities:

    • You will carry out component analysis of solar control boxes, solar-powered televisions, customized connecting cables, bulbs, torches, solar panels, and smartphones
    • You will perform the initial screening and quality checks of all M-KOPA faulty devices to identify product failure reasons
    • You will perform technical repairs of all M-KOPA products using hand tools and power tools
    • You will improve technical knowledge, especially on new product entries and discovery of new fault codes
    • You will test and inspect products after repair to identify possible problems that could lead to future product failures
    • You will refurbish product and "make new" of all repaired products before dispatch to retail outlets
    • You will maintain equipment by performing regular maintenance checks, replacing parts, or performing repairs to repair equipment such as hand tools and power tools
    • You will diagnose problems with repair equipment and making recommendations for repair or replacement
    • You will ensure accurate data capture and tracking of all repaired units, fault codes, and resolutions promptly
    • You will conduct periodic cycle counts and monthly stock counts
    • You will observe set Kaizen 6S principles
    • You will meet the daily set targets of repair products per day to ensure the required swap stock is availed

Requirements:

    • Education: A minimum Diploma in electronics engineering
    • Experience: 1 year of professional experience in electronics engineering with relevant repairs experience
    • Ability to communicate technical information, both verbally and in writing
    • Well-versed with the systems, tools, and procedures used in testing & failure analysis
    • Experience using the required software
    • Good attitude towards acquiring new knowledge
    • Able to work under pressure and tight datelines
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently
    • Good Interpersonal skills
    • Hands-On experience working with embedded systems
