Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities

      • Develop, maintain, and execute manual test cases to ensure the quality of our software products.
      • Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and solve issues quickly.
      • Use Test rail, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Postman, and Swagger to create, manage and track test cases and defects.
      • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with testing environments and configurations.
      • Provide feedback to development teams on product usability and functionality.
      • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to testing processes and procedures.
      • Develop test cases that should be comprehensive, covering all possible use cases for each feature.
      • Develop test cases that should be easy to understand and should include step-by-step instructions for the tester.
      • Bugs or defects should be documented clearly and concisely, with steps to reproduce and any relevant screenshots.
      • Perform user experience testing in ensuring the program tested is simple, intuitive, and easy to use by the end user.
      • Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing: QA testers should be able to run the different software assets on various browser types and operating systems to ensure the functionalities work the same, documenting findings of any inconsistencies to ensure these are addressed and synchronizing the interfaces across multiple browsers.

Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
      • At least 5 years of experience in manual testing.
      • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and test case creation.
      • Tools/Programming Familiarity: QA testers should be well-versed with using testing platforms such as TestRail and should have a basic understanding of programming languages to narrow down root causes of issues that arise because of testing the different software projects.
      • They should also be able to integrate TestRail with other software development tools such as project management tools.: Test rail, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Postman, and Swagger.
      • Communication & Collaboration skills: QA testers should be able to communicate with developers, project managers, and the remaining tech team to gain clarity.
      • They must also be able to inform project stakeholders of the testing status through reports.
      • Attention to detail: Manual QA testers should be able to identify even the smallest problems (bugs/issues) that arise during testing and document their findings clearly and concisely to relay back to the development team.
      • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with testing environments and configurations.
      • Understanding of programming languages and code.
      • Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
      • Strong analytical capabilities: should be able to analyse recent software updates and requirements added to the platform, and ensure they are operating appropriately and in the desired manner following the initial request.
      • Critical Thinking & User Experience Testing: QA testers should adopt some behaviours of end users and navigate the software to ensure existing features are working as expected.
      • Should be able to consider the perspective of the client and generate potential scenarios to ensure the software is able to accommodate each one with effective yet minimal/no impact.
